The San Mateo County's Office of Emergency Services encourages all residents to take the first step of emergency preparedness by signing up to San Mateo County’s FREE public notification system, SMC Alert.  SMC Alert sends notifications about local emergencies and events happening in your community via emails, voicemail, and text messages.  There are now three fast and easy ways to sign up to SMC Alert:

• Scan the QR code embedded in the logo below, which will take you directly to the registration page
• Text your five-digit zip code to 888777
• Go directly to the SMC Alert webpage at www.smcalert.info
