Rachel Ennis - 2017

Rachel Ennis

Rachel has worked tirelessly for the community and the Brisbane School District. Beginning with her daughter, Gillian, attending Silverspot Co-op Preschool, she quickly became a strong leader and joined their school board as Treasurer then President. She started new fundraising events and gave direction to improve the financial health and stability of the school.

Rachel then followed her daughter to Brisbane Elementary school where she gave many years of service as BES site president, BEST/PTO board member, Chairman, founding Spring Thing Auction Chair, and Spring Thing co-chair. If someone had an idea, she would always listen; if a group was struggling to raise donations, she always had the time and best ideas; if you needed a cheerleader, she would be your biggest supporter and advocate. She even got the Beer and Wine Garden at Day in the Park started!

Not only does she volunteer for the schools, but she volunteers her time and donates wonderful delectable foods to support the Brisbane Dance Workshop, the Live at Mission Blue Series and other local community groups. For those who nominated Rachel, they say that she always brings the most positive and upbeat energy!

Thank you, Rachel. Your unselfish and dedicated service has made a significant difference in our community. The work you did and the positive impact you've had on the school district and the community will not soon be forgotten.
