Adopt-a-Drain

Welcome to Brisbane's Adopt-a-Drain Program

Participate in the City of Brisbane’s Adopt-a-Drain program by taking an active role in improving your neighborhood and keeping our Bay clean and free of debris.

The rain washes anything that’s on streets and paved surfaces down storm drains and into the Bay. Adopt a drain to help keep our water clean and to prevent flooding on the streets!
The participants in the program can get a free rake from the City.
They then rake leaves and debris off of the storm drain grate, before or during a rain event.

It's a simple program, but it's really helpful.

Participation is as easy as 1-2-3 !

1. Claim your drains!
   Search for your house on the map.
   Find a red drain (or two) nearby.
   Fill out the form to let us know which ones you'll keep an eye on.
2. Pick up your free City provided rake!
   We'll contact you to schedule a pickup time.
3. Clean your drains!
