Get Up & Go (Peninsula Jewish Community Center)
As part of the Get Up & Go program, the Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) operates a free door-to-door, wheelchair-accessible bus and car service for older adults who do not drive. Picking up and dropping off every weekday between 9:30am - 3:30pm, Get Up & Go transports seniors from their homes to destinations within San Mateo County for medical appointments, shopping, and personal errands. Please call (650) 378-2750 at least a week in advance to schedule. Medical appointments can be booked 1 month in advance. A van with a wheelchair ramp and buses with wheelchair lifts are available. Please indicate need for accessibility when requesting your ride.
SamTrans School Bus Routes
School bus routes that SamTrans put into place in August 2018, Route 24, which goes to Jefferson, Westmoor, and Summit Shasta High School, as well as Route 49, which goes to Oceana and Terra, are still in operation. As a reminder, SamTrans offers public transit services for the general public. Click here for short "How to Ride?" videos. Most importantly, parents who have children that use Samtrans service should be familiar with the rules under which the agency operates. Thank you for riding safely and responsibly!
