Brisbane Stands United Against Hate

Brisbane UAH poster

You may have seen the signs popping up recently; in this sixth United Against Hate Week, Brisbane is banding together with other California cities, towns, schools, and organizations to send a clear message - we stand united against bias, bullying, and anything else that perpetuates hate. There is no room for it here, and it simply will not be tolerated.

We hope you'll join the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accountability (IDEA) Committee at 1:30pm at City Hall on Sunday, Nov. 12 for a Short-Film Screening Event to kick off United Against Hate Week.  Bring a friend and find out more about the City's IDEA Committee. Refreshments and posters will be provided at this event!

The City Council proclaimed November 12-18, 2023 as United Against Hate Week in Brisbane at their November 2, 2023 City Council Meeting.  See the Proclamation here.

See additional events throughout the Bay Area that United Against Hate is publicizing on their website.

Feel free to download the Brisbane Stands United Against Hate Zoom background below and/or print out the poster to display in your home, school, or business and help us amplify this message; the IDEA Committee will also have a limited quantity available at the November 12th Short-Film Screening as well as at City Hall.

We heard from those that were able to come for the Short-Film Festival that they hoped the videos could be made available for them to share out to their family and friends.  Here is a playlist to 5 of the 6 videos, with the 6th one, Loop, available to view by clicking here.
