ADU Annual Rent Survey

The City of Brisbane is asking for your help in completing a survey of rental rates for accessory dwelling units (also known as “secondary,” “in-law,” or “granny” units). The survey results will help the City determine whether accessory dwelling units are being rented at rates that are affordable to lower-income households. 

The enclosed questionnaire is being sent to all owners of accessory dwelling units that have been permitted by the City. It contains just 2-3 questions regarding the number of bedrooms in the unit, whether the unit is currently rented, and the current rent charged, if rented. If you need any assistance completing the survey, please call the Community Development Department at 415-508-2120 or email your questions to the Planning Department. 

Your responses are confidential and anonymous; no identifying details are collected.
